RTV News Agency (ISSSTE), June 27, 2022Xalapa, Veracruz.- As part of the strategy of equipping first and second level units, the State Workers Social Security and Services Institute (Issste) delivered 647 state-of-the-art medical and hospital materials to 42 Veracruz clinics in benefit of more than half a million beneficiaries, informed the general director, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.“For people affiliated with the institute, medical and administrative personnel, it is important to adapt these spaces with modern facilities and equipment that guarantee decent care.In addition, we work on improving priority aspects, such as the adaptation of infrastructure in hospitals, supply of medicines, complete workforces and we focus a preventive health system on the curative one.”Pedro Zenteno highlighted that the units strengthened with these teams are: 21 first-level care units, five hospital clinics (CH), 15 peripheral posts of their own, and the entity's High Specialty Regional Hospital.With this, he said, they add up to 3,999 pieces delivered this year to CH in 16 entities, out of 31,960 devices that are distributed throughout the country.The Issste medical sub-delegate in Veracruz, Gustavo Montero Olvera, indicated that the new equipment facilitates medical work, "for example, electrosurgery devices use a high-frequency electric current to cut tissue and control bleeding through coagulation and the new cases diagnosis have precise digital parameters”.He reported that, previously, to reduce the backlog and speed up surgical procedures in specialty services of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the CHs of Coatzacoalcos, Poza Rica, Tuxpan, Orizaba and Xalapa had already received electrosurgery surgical equipment.In turn, the sub-delegate of Administration of the institute in the state, María Cruz García Ramón, commented that, on instructions from the general director, the Issste de Veracruz carries out renovation, painting, detailing, finishing, sealing, plastering, lighting and modernization works. of the facilities to care for and reverse the deterioration and abandonment that hospitals have had for more than 20 years.Up to now, an 80 percent advance has been recorded in the refurbishment and image change works, providing identity, decent spaces and comprehensive rehabilitation of consulting rooms, toilets, operating rooms, archives, service offices, clinical analysis laboratories, waiting, parking lots, as well as interior and exterior facades of first and second level clinics installed in the perimeter of the 212 municipalities of Veracruz, he added.She assured that the commitment with the head of the institute and the rights is that the works finish in October of this year.Among the equipment that was distributed in Veracruz are: electrosurgery units, surgical tables, CT scanners with 60 slices each, vital signs monitors, refrigerators for vaccines and a hospital cold network, digital baby scales, carts for healing surgeries, cases diagnosis, nine and 10-liter thermos, chromed rotating benches, steam sterilizers, as well as dental and maxillofacial autoclaves, among other supplies for use, diagnosis and cleaning.Currently, Issste clinics and hospitals have benefited from 17 entities: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Yucatan.Cerro de la Galaxia S/N Col.
