James Mock has been appointed CFO of Moderna, beginning September 6. Mock has been CFO at PerkinElmer, a large life sciences and diagnostics firm, since 2018. Before that, he worked at  General Electric for almost 20 years in a range of financial oversight capacities. Mock will take over for David Meline, who is retiring. During the pandemic, Meline came out of retirement to help run Moderna’s finances but took over again as CFO in May when his replacement, Jorge Gomez, stepped down. Gomez left after one day when his former employer, dental equipment manufacturer Dentsply Sirona, revealed an internal accounting probe. 

Software company Minim named its CFO, Mehul Patel, as CEO. Patel took over as CFO at the company in March from Verifone, where he was vice president of supply chain finance and transformation. Before that, he was finance director for the telecom consumer equipment unit at Motorola. Patel succeeds Gray Chynoweth, who will further pursue his career as a member of the United States Navy Reserve. Minim’s new CFO is Dustin Tacker, the company’s former interim chief accounting officer.

Konrad Meyer was named CFO of Panera Brands, which includes Panera Bread, Caribou Coffee, and Einstein Bros. Bagels. Meyer joins Panera Brands from U.K.-based Panera parent company JAB. Meyer has been a partner helping to source and oversee JAB’s investments, including its fast-casual restaurant portfolio. He was previously interim CFO of Pret a Manger. Meyer replaces Ted Stedem, who is leaving the company to become finance chief of Gopuff.

Jennifer Crow was appointed chief financial officer of Olea Edge Analytics, an intelligent edge computing platform for the water utility industry. Most recently, she was CFO at AI engineering platform CognitiveScale for three years. Crow also held CFO positions at WellAware Holdings and Asure Software. Ted Stedem | Gopuff

Delivery service Gopuff hired Ted Stedem, former CFO of Panera Brands, as its new finance chief. Before joining Panera in August 2019, Stedem was senior vice president, global head of business planning and financial operations at WeWork. He previously held several executive positions, including managing director and general manager of KFC Asia. He also was CFO of Yum China, where he led the business to become an independent, publicly traded company with 7,600 restaurants and $7 billion in revenue.    Ken Porpora Ken Porpora | ADT

Security company ADT promoted Ken Porpora to CFO. Porpora has worked at the company for almost 25 years, most recently as executive vice president of finance. He has also held the roles of chief growth officer, president of field operations, CFO of residential, and CFO of senior residential finance. Porpora replaces Jeff Likosar, who was named the company’s president, corporate development, and chief transformation officer.  Raj Agrawal | Arrow Electronics

Raj Agrawal will take over as chief financial officer of Arrow Electronics on September 6. Agrawal joins the company from Western Union, where he has been CFO since 2014. During his time as CFO, he also intermittently held the senior positions of head of mergers and acquisition strategy as well as global operations. Agrawal previously held progressively senior roles with Deluxe, General Mills, Chrysler, and General Motors.   Stephen Down Stephen Down | National DCP

Stephen Down is the new CFO of National DCP, a $2 billion purchasing cooperative serving the franchisees of Dunkin’ Donuts. Most recently, Down was the chief financial officer of foodservice distribution, dairy, and food manufacturing company Shamrock Foods. His previous roles include senior vice president of broad-line finance for U.S. Foods and CFO of international distribution company The Martin-Brower Co.
